Overview

Daily Check (“the App”) is a daily checklist app for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. Your lists appear as widgets on the Home Screen and empty themselves every night. The App works without an account, without a sign-up, and without collecting your personal information.

Information We Do Not Collect

Daily Check does not collect, store, or share any personal data. We do not operate servers for the App. We do not collect, store, or sell:

• Name, email, or contact details (unless you email us for support)
• Location data
• Usage analytics or advertising identifiers
• Payment information
• Your lists, items, or completion history

The App contains no analytics, no advertising, no social logins and no third-party SDKs of any kind. There is no account system and nothing is transmitted to us, because there is no server of ours to transmit it to.

Information Stored on Your Device

Everything you create in the App is stored on your device using Apple's on-device database (SwiftData). This includes:

• Your lists, including their names, icons and colours
• The items in each list, including their colours and order
• Which items you checked on which day, kept as history so streaks can be shown
• Two preferences: the hour at which your day resets, and how long history is kept

This same storage is shared with the App's Home Screen widget and its Apple Watch app, so that all three show the same lists. That sharing happens entirely inside your device, using Apple's App Groups.

iCloud Sync

If you are signed in to iCloud, the App keeps your lists in step across your iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch by storing them in the private database of your own iCloud account, using Apple's CloudKit.

That private database belongs to you, not to us. Apple provides the storage but cannot read its contents, and we have no access to it whatsoever — no dashboard, no export, no ability to look. We never see your lists.

If you are not signed in to iCloud, the App behaves identically and your data simply never leaves the device.

Notifications

The App registers to receive background notifications from Apple's iCloud service. These are used for one purpose only: to tell your devices that your lists changed somewhere else, so they can update. They are never used for advertising and we never send you messages.

Third Parties

The App includes no third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or social logins. Apple provides the operating system, iCloud storage and App Store distribution.

Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the App does not collect any data, it is safe for use by children under the guidelines of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule (COPPA).

Data Retention and Deletion

Your lists remain until you delete them in the App or uninstall the App. Uninstalling removes everything stored on that device.

To remove the synced copy from iCloud as well, open Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Account Storage on your iPhone, select Daily Check, and delete its data. This control is provided by Apple and works whether or not the App is still installed.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
